The goal of the Netherlands is to achieve 27%of energy consumption from renewable energy sources(such as biomass,solar,wind,etc.)by 2030,and 70%of electricity generation from renewable energy sources by 2030.According to data from the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics,the proportion of renewable energy in the total energy consumption in the Netherlands has reached 15%in 2022,with biomass energy accounting for 5.9%,wind energy accounting for 4.2%,solar energy accounting for 3.4%,and heat pump energy(using heat pumps to collect heat from external air,soil,or groundwater,raise temperature with the help of electricity,and transfer heat indoors)accounting for 1.1%.
From the perspective of solar energy(mainly photovoltaic power generation),the total installed capacity of solar power in the Netherlands in 2022 has reached 19600 megawatts,with an annual power generation of 17.1 billion kilowatt hours,accounting for 14.4%of the total power generation in the Netherlands.In 2022,the Netherlands has the highest per capita solar installed capacity among EU countries and also has the highest proportion of solar power generation(followed by Spain).In 2021,there were approximately 48 million solar panels in the Netherlands,and according to data from the Dutch Enterprise Bureau,it is estimated that approximately 10 million new solar panels will be added in 2022.
