The 15th is National Ecology Day 2024,with the theme of”Accelerating Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development”.The main event will be held in Sanming,Fujian.A series of important achievements in comprehensive green transformation were released on site.
The relevant person in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission stated at the home event that China is one of the countries with the fastest reduction in energy intensity in the world.In the first three years of the 14th Five Year Plan,after deducting raw material energy consumption and non fossil energy consumption,the cumulative reduction in national energy intensity was about 7.3%;China has the largest installed capacity of renewable energy in the world and the fastest development speed in the world;In addition,China has built the world’s largest and most complete new energy industry chain.
Zhao Chenxin,Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission:The production of photovoltaic modules has ranked first in the world for 16 consecutive years,providing 70%of photovoltaic modules and 60%of wind power equipment worldwide.In the first half of 2024,the penetration rate of China’s new energy vehicle market reached 35.2%,ranking first among major economies.
The main events of the 2024 National Ecology Day include the launch of important achievements in ecological civilization,theoretical seminars and experience exchange meetings on ecological civilization construction,and the first national ecological product recommendation exhibition.After carbon emission verification and certification,this year’s National Ecology Day home event achieved”carbon neutrality”.
